The Tabletop Edit

The Queen’s Cottage

Inspired by the Hameau de la Reine, Queen Marie Antoinette’s own refuge where she could host intimate gatherings with friends, the latest tabletop edit, The Queen’s Cottage, celebrates a return to the idyllic.

Madras-patterned plates take the centre stage in this scene, a tribute to the popular print that was frequented in the eighteenth century. Bucolic surroundings emerge throughout the table, including table linens adorned with wild bees, dogwood-shaped napkin rings and foraged fungi fashioned from antique eighteenth-century silks, gemstones and brocade.
