This exquisite pair of early 19th-century French figures, representing Liberty and Justice, are masterful embodiments of classical allegory and artistic excellence. 

The figure of Justice is depicted with a dignified blindfold, signifying impartiality, and holds the scales of justice in one hand and the sword of truth in the other. Liberty, portrayed with equal grace, symbolises freedom and enlightenment. The bases of both figures are adorned with intricate foliate decorations, adding a touch of natural elegance to their stately forms.

Despite the passage of time, these figures remain in remarkable condition, though both are lightly rubbed and slightly loose on their bases. These minor imperfections only add to their historical charm, bearing witness to their journey through the centuries.
